- If you do not wish to continue your NPS account or defer your Withdrawal, you can exit from NPS anytime.
- Log-in to CRA system (www.cra.nps-proteantech.in) and select option Manage My Withdrawal >Exit from NPS ->Initiate request.
- Provide the related details such as percentage for Lump Sum Withdrawal, percentage for annuity withdrawal, marital status, spouse details, Annuity Service Provider (ASP) of your choice, Annuity scheme etc.
As per PFRDA Exit Guidelines, in case, the accumulated pension wealth of the Subscriber is equal to or less than Eight lakh rupees, the Subscriber shall have an option to withdraw the entire accumulated pension wealth.
- Upload scanned of KYC documents (Identity & Address Proof) for seamless processing of Exit request. Upload of scanned documents is mandatory.
- Submit the request by entering the One Time Password (OTP) sent on your registered Mobile Number.
- Submission of request through digital signature (OTP/eSign) - You need to digitally sign the request through OTP Authentication/eSign. In case of OTP Authentication, two distinct One Time Password (OTP) will be sent on Mobile Number and Email ID registered in CRA. For eSign, OTP will be sent on your Mobile Number registered with Aadhaar.
Here option is given to Subscriber to opt for SLW to get Pension from Lumpsum portion also. For more information on SLW, please visit www.npscra.proteantech.in.
- On successful submission of request through digital signature, your request will be sent to your associated Nodal Office/POP for online authorisation in CRA system. Nodal Office/POP will verify your KYC details and authorize Exit request. Physical Withdrawal Form is not required to be submitted to Nodal Office/POP.
- If OTP Authentication / eSign is not possible or if you are not able to initiate Exit request online, you can fill-up the physical Withdrawal Form (along with KYC documents and bank proof) and submit it to your associated Nodal Office/POP for further Processing. You can download form from CRAwebsite (www.npscra.proteantech.in) available under “Central Government/ State Government – Forms” Section.
- Subscriber can update Bank/Address details online in CRA system (www.cra.nps-proteantech.in) by logging with PRAN as User ID & Password. Alternatively, the Subscriber can submit physical request to associated Nodal Office/POP for modification of details and then initiate exit request.
Please ensure that your updated details (such as PAN, address, contact details, Bank details, nomination details etc.) are registered in your NPS account before initiating withdrawal. If you wish to update any registered details, please update online by accessing CRA system or submit Form S2 to your associated Nodal Office/POP. You can download Form S2 from Forms section under respective sector on this website.
Sharing of details with Annuity Service Providers (ASPs) – ASPs are Indian Life Insurance companies appointed by PFRDA to provide annuity (pension) to Subscribers. ASPs will be contacting you for annuity purchase & for completion of related annuity formalities. Please give your consent for sharing your details (PRAN, Name, Date of retirement, Address & Contact details, etc.) with ASPs. You can give your consent visiting website www.cra.nps-proteantech.in and select option “Subscriber Consent to share contact details with ASP”.
